Up front, the well detailed looking 390ci FE V8 runs a rebuilt carb, fueled by a dropped, cleaned and freshly coated tank. Here’s a cool brochure image from the model’s ’61 introduction showing off how the swing-away steering wheel works. The headliner is said to remain excellent, and both factory A/C and AM/FM radio still work. Fortunately, sale includes the clock too. Though shown here with the factory original, quartz movement converted clock in place to the right of the speedometer, an overly modern tach seen elsewhere in the ad has been fitted in its place since since photos were snapped. The interior looks similarly well kept, and carefully worn-in upholstery remains original. Lowered tastefully over well-chosen gray center Torq-Thrusts, subtle custom pinstriping seen on the nose and decklid lend further mild hot rod credibility while keeping things nice and discreet. These third gen non-landau coupes are arguably one of the all-time great T-bird designs, and this one’s easily among the sharpest to come across our inbox in years. Resprayed 18 years ago in factory original Chalfonte Blue, the car looks excellently preserved with very good paint finish, sheet metal, and gleaming, complete chrome and stainless. Find it here on Craigslist in Tsawwassen, BC, Canada for $18,900 CAD (~$14,500 USD today). The ad suggests that it’s now well sorted, including working factory A/C. This 1963 Ford Thunderbird (chassis 3Y83Z141339) is an excellent looking third generation coupe that’s undergone a recent refresh after what sounds to have been some time spent sitting in dry storage.
